Gran'Kids Weekend

WhoooHeee! The Gran'Kids came to visit this weekend. We told Mom to pack clothes suitable for the Amazon and Antartic-never know what sort of weather we can have on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay.
Enjoy our photo essay of Gran'Girl, age 4 and Gran'Boy age 2.

Gran'Ma, Gran'Girl and Gran'Boy all went to the parade at Oxford.

We got to see fire engines, police cars, rescue vehicles, politicians of every sort in fancy cars, some of the people threw candy and Mardi Gras beads. Here is Gran'Girl looking at the community marching band. Gran'Boy is sitting in his stroller on the far right. He decided that he,"was scar'd of parade."

We ate Birthday Cake flavored ice cream for lunch and had hotdogs and chips for snack.

It was quite windy out. Perfect for blowing bubbles. Gran'Ma taught the kids how to use the wind to blow bubbles.

Gran'Ma also bought a battery operated bubble gun and we had lots of fun both shooting bubbles and chasing the bubbles floating in the wind.
Gran'Pa took us on a field trip to the Airport. Easton has a small airfield. We saw students taking off and landing in small planes.

We also went to the park.

Gran'Boy is showing off his skill at climbing.

Here we are walking on a floating bridge. Good balance kids!

Gran'Girl found a new challange. A spiral climbing structure. She mastered this new skill, twisiting carefully up the pole and then climbed onto the platform. Of course, Gran'Boy had to try and Gran'Ma always hovered.

Gran'Ma realized that multi-tasking is an art for younger adults.

We spent the time practicing more skills. Gran'Girl learned how to spell her name, we told lots of stories, ran around alot .....

And finally, best of all was NAP TIME.

The kids were happy to arrive home Sunday evening to their parents, toys and yard. We all had a good weekend.
