Back in Easton

I drove back to Easton on Monday. It took all day because I wanted to wander down some back roads in a few spots. It was a long, lovely, tiring day.

On Saturday my Dad, siblings and I all sorted out my Mom's stuff. It was an all day affair. It went really well--bittersweet. We all miss our Mom/Wife terribly. We know that losing her was inevitable and that she died with peace and the love of her family surrounding her. We all chose a few things to keep for ourselves and our kids. Her grand legacy is the lessons in life that she taught us, we taught our children, and that our children are passing on to their children.

Now I have to go out and pick Japanese Beetles off the bushes. I taught my grand nephew (age 7) how to pick beetles. With quite some authority he told me that when they are done here they go back to Japan.
