Super Bowl Sunday at Club Med Cancun

Dick has been able to get some tennis in most days. This is his partner today. A very lovely lady from Belgium I think. They are playing doubles with a French couple.

While Dick plays tennis I wander around and do other things. I met "Lexus" the iguana near the tennis courts. He seemed rather unfazed as I jockey around trying to get a good photograph of him. Obviously he has not learned his best photo angle. Keeps turning his head the wrong way. But I was able to get the shot out of about 20.

This is where I goe snorkelying. The reefs are starting to recover nicely from Hurricane Wilma. She was the Category 5 Hurricane that devasted Cozumel and Cancun two years ago. I was able to see several types of coral, some colorful fish, a few big fish. I will probably go out again when Dick plays tennis

Finally, here is just one shot from our Super Bowl Party. The US staff dressed up as referees and cheer leaders. There were two large screens with an excellent sound system that broadcast the game all over the public space. The game was live, Fox News, and narrated in Spanish by a pair of comentators who spoke Spanish and a fellow live by the field that also spoke live and in Spanish. We sat with some Brazil and Mexican folks and tried to give a commentary on what the big "fiesta" is likie for our families at home. Everyone thinks the party idea is great and party we did. There was Corona Beer on tap, a huge buffet with hotdogs, hamburgers, ribs and chicken wings with all the side. There was about 400 of us enjoying the game and/or party. What did I get from the game? As the comentator said, " Senor Manning el passe es completo, oy, oy, oy."
