Valentine's Day 2007

Valentine's Day and Bali were made for each other. It was such a romantic day. In the morning we lounged by our plunge pool. I am in it so much that Dick has started to check for my mermaids tail when I get out. He has not attempted it yet. In the afternoon we were at the spa for the Lulu Jambaran Spa treatment. Both of us had a Balanise massage, hot oil rub, shower, yorgurt bath, shower, and a tub bath with frangipani, rose blossoms and scented oil. The tub soak was for the two of us at the same time and Dick was more than skepitical. The Balinese girls and I begged him so hard that he finally go into the tub after much grumbling. He was not in the tub 5 min. when he decided that he did not have enough room, his legs were cramped and he hated the blossoms that stuck to his skin. So much for romance. But the massage was great and we both took a long nap after that. Later we went to the temple site for a Balinese entertainment. The percussion and flute band numbered about 15 and there were about 10 dancers. Each dance had a special meaning. The ones I liked best were the old man, very traditional and a moden dance with two girls about bumblebees. After the concert we were driven to our villa. Upon entering the staff had set out numerous luminaries around the pool and path to the pavalion. At the pavalion we had a 5 course dinner served by our private waiter. We ate balinese lobster which I have to say is better than Maine lobster. I finished the night in the pool staring at the constellation Orion and Dick went into the sleeping room to cool down. It is very hot and humid here-just like MD/DE/DC in the middle of August. I'm loving it. Dick likes the air conditioning. Anyway, we had a very nice Valentine's Day
