Sassy Ladies March Tea

Our Red Hat ladies have two outings a month. One is the major event-an activity with lunch and the other is a Tea. At this Tea we are supposed to discuss the business of our organization.
As you can see we take these executive sessions very seriously.


The tea is held in our homes on a rotating basis. HRH there in profile is the Queen MUM, the dear hostess this month is in the center. One of the best parts of the tea (besides stuffing ourselves with high calorie snacks) is to inspect the homes of friends. We all live in the same development (except HRH on the left holding a coffee mug). There are only about a handful of models. The joy of visiting our fellow sisters homes is to see how uniquely each is decorated. Our hostess this month showed off her big purchase of the month--a huge king size ultra suede bed that is just perfect for the room. We got to see her girly collection in the master bathroom toilet closet. We all ohhhh and ahhhhhed and envied her stylish girly stash.


Our Queen MUM is calling the business meeting to order. As she shares all the important news from the National Red Hat society we all carry on a side bar conversation with each other. Our meetings most resemble a gathering of a British House of Parliament . We agreed that a house guest could participate in our March outing and that it is quite permissible to miss an event to have a date with our husband.
We all poured over the Red Hat Catalogue of merchandise. What an industry! The selection of merchandise ranges from the conservative to the outrageous.
What a lovely hat! Our dear HRH won this hat in an Easter Egg give away. Our Queen MUM procured this hat (I never did quite get the story on the procurement, but if anything ever needs to be procured our Queen MUM is a good procurer). To celebrate the Easter spirit she had a basket full of yellow eggs. As each of us arrived she placed an egg in her basket. During the tea we each took an egg from the basket. When I opened mine I had a blank piece of paper (the giveaway gods were not smiling on me). But HRH here got the paper with "You win" on it. By group consensus we decided that this hat is perfect for her. So there you have it--our Red Hat Lady of the Month.
